honestly the scene where grinch had ptsd was extremely sad to watch, but i feel like it goes a little bit deep than ‘i was alone so i hate christmas’; because in that scene he was having a panic attack, he has this quirk where he rubs his hands and fingers when hes extrmely stressed and anxious, he wasnt annoyed or angry when he saw the whos being jolly in that scene he was extremely sad and in the verge of tears as he was remembering his loney orphaned childhood. i have a feeling that he was abused in christmas, he was possibly neglected and seen as nothing but maybe prehaps the adults in the orphanage couldve possibly abused him when he was younger (or just straight up neglected the poor guy) to the point where he just walked away and lived on his own out of sadness, hence why he doesnt like christmas. I also noticed that he hates flashing lights and loud noises, and is extremely good with animals and socializes better with them than people. max is his service dog.
